Lyonel Feininger - Paintings
I visited the exhibit at the Whitney Museum about a retrospective of the art of Lyonel Feininger. He grew up in New York City until he was a teenager and moved with his parents to Germany when he was about 16 and spent his next 50 years in Germany. He left Germany just before WW II for the USA. He taught a class at Mills College in California at first and then moved to New York City.
I went to the exhibit in August and September 2011. I like Feininger's colors in his artwork. I also like the scenes of city life he shows - buildings, trains, bridges, viaducts, streets, fashion, sports, and music. I found these paintings on the internet.
